What Paint Correction Can & Can't Do

Paint correction is machine polishing that levels the top of your clear coat to remove defects, rather than filling them in. It's the step that brings back depth and clarity.

What it fixes

  • Swirl marks and spider-web scratches from washing
  • Light scratches and marring
  • Dull, faded, or oxidized paint
  • Water spots and light etching
  • Haze and holograms left by past polishing

What it can't fix

  • Deep scratches that go through the clear coat
  • Rock chips
  • Peeling or failing clear coat
  • Damage that needs paintwork, not polishing

1-Step Or 2-Step

We'll look at your paint and recommend the right level. Pricing depends on vehicle size and paint condition.

✨
1-Step Correction
A single machine-polishing stage that removes light to moderate swirls and restores gloss. A good fit for newer or well-kept paint.

From Swirled To Spotless

01
Wash & Decontaminate

A full wash and decontamination removes the grit and bonded contaminants that would scratch the paint during polishing.

02
Inspect The Paint

We look over every panel to see what can be corrected and which level of correction fits.

03
Machine Polish

We polish the paint panel by panel to remove the defects and bring back clarity and depth.

04
Wipe-Down & Protect

A final wipe-down shows the true finish, and the paint is protected so the results last.

Want the finish to last? Pair correction with a ceramic coating to protect it.

What A Customer Said

"
★★★★★
Eli did an amazing job doing a 2-step paint correction and a ceramic coating on my 2024 Tundra. The truck looked better than brand new afterwards. Eli also treated my wheels and windows, which I would highly recommend. Eli was super friendly and on time and worked hard to get the results he was looking for, all in the convenience of your own driveway.

Common Questions

Do the results last?

Correction removes the defects instead of hiding them, so the improvement is lasting. New swirls can come back, though, if the paint is washed with dirty mitts or automatic brush washes. A ceramic coating helps protect the finish afterward.

Can you remove every scratch?

No. If a scratch has gone through the clear coat or you can catch your fingernail in it, polishing can only reduce it, not remove it. We'll be upfront about what's realistic for your paint.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the vehicle, the condition of the paint, and whether you choose 1-step or 2-step. We'll give you an estimate when we quote the job.

Is paint correction safe for my paint?

Correction removes a very thin layer of clear coat, and done properly it's safe. We'll let you know if your paint is too thin or damaged to correct further.

Should I do paint correction before a ceramic coating?

Usually, yes, if your paint has visible swirls or scratches. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it, so it's best to correct first. See our ceramic coating page for details.

Can you do it at my home or office?

Yes. We're fully mobile and come to you in Collierville, Germantown, Cordova, Eads, Piperton, Olive Branch, and Oakland.

How much does paint correction cost?

Pricing depends on vehicle size and paint condition, so we quote each job. Book online and we'll confirm a price.
